"A Purchase of Magnitude "

Hi, Myron & Rick.

I can't thank you enough for all your help in my purchase of the 2008 Nissan Pathfinder.  For a purchase of the magnitude, both of you made it very smooth for me.  My kids had a blast too playing the DVD games in the back seat on the way home.

Please feel free to forward this on to your Management as they should be aware of unique individuals such as yourself who go above and beyond.

Thanks again.

"High Marks "

Dear Denny,

I wanted to take a moment to let you know how impressed I was with my experience at Gates GMC during the purchase last Thursday (October23, 2008) of a GMC Sierra 1500 4WD. Until I had done a search on Autotrader.com / cars.com I was not even aware of the dealership, as I live more that 90 minutes away in northeast Connecticut. My wife had found a late model hybrid GMC truck online, and we test drove it on Oct. 4th with Paul Caiafa. Paul kept in touch with me over the intervening weeks and my attention was peaked by a 2008 GMC Sierra demo which had its priced lowered. I called Paul and scheduled a test drive for Saturday but was disappointed a few days later to learn that the vehicle had a deposit placed on it the night before I was scheduled to come out to Windham. I let Paul know that if anything changed I would be interested in seeing the vehicle and I was happy to hear from him on Monday October 20th that the deposit had been withdrawn, so I left work early that day and arrived at the dealership at 3:30PM. As Paul was busy with a customer when I arrived, he asked Ralph Clement if he would take me out for the test drive.

I was very interested in the truck, but in looking it over in the bright sunlight I had real reservations about the light scratches to the clear coat on the lower part of both sides which had resulted from having been through the car wash facility over the winter. Ralph said everybody had the same comment, but that the issue was already reflected in the recently reduced selling price, so he took me next door to talk with the auto body shop about what it would take/cost to buff out the scratches. Coincidentally, Dave Hite, from your sister Putnam Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership was on the lot looking over vehicles so Ralph introduced me to him to get his opinion on what it would take to buff out the scratches. I really liked Dave's positive "can do attitude," as well as the fact that he said if I was going to purchase the truck he could fit the job in right away.

I filled out a purchase agreement with Paul and Ralph in which I agreed to pay the extra cost of having the scratches buffed out and left a deposit with the request that I be able to talk it over with my wife that night. As Paul had the morning off, I called Ralph on Tuesday to say the deal was a go, and the truck was on it's way to Putnam. When I picked it up on Thursday I was extremely pleased at how well it looked. Dave and his team in Putnam began the work immediately and did an excellent job, who gives fast and quality service like that today?

Despite the truck's significant mark down in the list price, I must say that I would not have purchased it without the buffing work, as the scratches were just too distracting and noticeable in the sun. Therefore, I must credit Ralph for coming up with the idea to introduce me to your body shops, and I should also note that he spent almost four hours with me that afternoon even though I had come into the dealership as Paul's customer! The team work that is present at Gates GMC, as exemplified by my interaction with Paul, Ralph, as well as Dave Hite, is unlike anything I have ever witnessed or experienced at a dealership, and the quick highly quality work of the body shop in Putnam is also noteworthy in its own right.

On my several visits to the dealership I noticed that many employees were walking about in shirts and jackets that the Team Gates GMC, I know now that team work is a reality and not just a catch phrase, and you should be very proud of the culture that exists at Gates, as it is refreshing and unique. Your people have a real passion for what they do and it shows in a very positive way. The delivery of the truck on Thursday October 18th was smooth and quite frankly, in summary I didn't know that buying a new vehicle could be hassle free!

I look forward to the survey that GMC might send me, as I will enthusiastically give Gates GMC the highest marks possible across the board! I look forward to a long relationship with Gates GMC, and please feel free to share this note with the team.

Sincerely,
Eric B. Anderson

It's been a long time since we've talked. I had to write and tell you how happy I still am with my Yukon. I went to Pennsylvania to visit family. The ride there was excellent, the Yukon is very responsive and handled awesome. I can't get over the gas milage. I didn't do the math, but it took a little less than half a tank to get there, and it's a four hour ride.

Going to a show is nicer too, since I have plenty of room for people to ride with me now, and I'm not crowded with gear all around me. I can fit my whole bass stack plus the basses and the other gear where the third row seats would go.

Thank you again for working with me to get into this truck. I hope all is well with you.

Sincerely,
Peter J. Cosumano, Jr.
